Crazy Eight Bun

If you saw (and read) my post last Wednesday you know that I have a new tutorial for you today that builds on that hairstyle to make a super pretty updo style that is super easy to do. I looked at this bun forever and I couldn't come up with what to call it, so I asked my husband and he stared at it too not sure what to call it. I mentioned it looked like an eight and so we came up with calling it a Crazy Eight bun. Do you see the number eight? What would you name this style? Maybe I will change the name. Feel free to leave me you ideas in the comment box.

So the first four or five steps were in last Wednesdays post, but I didn't want to leave out the start of this style on this post, so I've included them for you.
Start by pulling the top section of the hair into a loose ponytail.
Braid the hair loosely and hold the end. Do not secure until after the next step.
While holding the end loosen the braid by pulling on each braid section to puff them out and make the braid fuller. Secure with an elastic at this point.
Twist the braid around the ponytail into a bun and secure with another elastic or bobby-pins to make your first bun. At this point you shouldn't be able to tell it was braided.
Its just a beautiful full bun at this point. (This was where we left this style on Wednesday.)
To turn it into a beautiful updo you will pull the rest of the hair into a second ponytail. I left a section out on both sides from about the ear forward.
I braided this section the same as before.
I pulled it out and wrapped it around the ponytail to make a second bun directly below the first one.
Now to doll it up just a little more I took those sections I left down and I twisted them for a fun/beautiful detail on the side and I bobby-pinned them into the bun to close off any gap between the two buns.
It turns out so beautiful. And you'd never in a million years know it was as easy as two twisted braids. Looking at it you wouldn't even know it was ever braids at all. Its so much prettier than something so simple. Which just goes to show that it doesn't have to be complicated to be super beautiful.
