Ladder Braid

I don't know about you, but this braid reminds me of those old banana clips. Do you remember banana clips? I used to have a banana clip in every color. So honestly this braid is WAY more fun and beautiful than a banana clip.
I'm thinking of cutting back on videos and doing more picture tutorials again. I knew pictures weren't going to help with this particular braid, but for most hairstyles I think pictures would be fine. What do you guys think? What do you prefer?
I'd love to see if you try this braid out. Please feel free to share it with us on our Facebook page. I'm thinking also of next year (2013) really focusing more of my energy on google+. I'm not impressed with Facebook limiting how many people can see our posting, so if you are on Google+ please add us. I am trying to figure that whole thing out, but I will get it eventually.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Sorry we didn't post last week. I'm just planning on adding the 100 days of hair to this weeks hairstyles. There was only two days, so it seemed silly to post. Thanks so much for reading and sharing our fun stuff with your friends.

  2. So pretty! I will have to give this a try on my little one. :) As for videos vs photos... for something like this you do need a video, but as long as the photos are clear I think that will work with most tutorials.

  3. I admit, I'm a big fan of videos. I really love your hairstyles and love when you have videos to go with them. Your site, along with princesshairstyles and cutegirlshairstyles are my go-to's but years ago, before their popularity exploded, CGH became my first stop because she started posting videos. I'm experienced enough now that pictures are fine if I don't have a choice, but I think if someone is still trying to learn different techniques the videos make it SO much easier.

  4. I like pics! I hate to watch videos, so I'll just skip trying it if there's no pics. But that's just me- I'm old school!

  6. I think videos are very helpful, but in this house we have blocked YouTube, so I can't access most tutorial videos. I am at the mercy of written instructions with pictures, and I know more and more people who are blocking YouTube because of the junk on it that they don't want their kids having access to. I discovered your blog about a month ago and love it! I have a 3 year old daughter with very long, curly hair so I am always looking for ways to tame it. I love your creativity!

  7. Videos are helpful, however, my household has blocked YouTube and I know many other moms who have done the same to keep their kids safe from all the crap on YouTube. So I am at the mercy of written instructions and pictures. I found your blog about a month ago and love it! I have a 3 year old daughter with long, curly hair so I am always looking for ways to tame it! Thanks for sharing your creativity!
