No So Much...

There are a lot of hair do's that I try that I don't love so much that I never post. Its all an experiment over here and hey I am only human to have a few duds... In my opinion this was a dud, however, the day we did this hair do we got stopped three times while out running a few errands for people to get a closer look. So maybe I am wrong about this one---So what the heck. I don't completely love it, but maybe you will.
With this one I started with one small pony tail up in that far upper left hand front temple area. Then I added it into a pony tail right next to it. I traveled around the perimeter area and then went in on the next row mimicking a spiral effect on the head. I went until I could pull it into a pony and make it into a messy bun.

When I did this one I did all the parting kind of random and ski-wompus so as to add the the randomness. I think that is what I didn't love in the end. Maybe I will try this again one day with more intentional parts... but here is what it came down to in the end.

Kind of an interesting look and feel to it don't you think?

  1. I wish you would have put a picture from the front. I actually really like it... But how you said if the parting would have been a little neater I think this would be A+++.

  3. Very cute despite your wondering about it! Just to take the time to part all that out is fab-oo! And like we just talked about - the ones we don't think are the best people tend to like!

  4. I think its really sweet. It kind of reminds me of a snail shell. I bet if you tried it again I it would grow on you!

  5. I really like it, random parts and all! I have done this a few times with a dutch braid, and it gives the BEST second-day waves (because there are no parts, really) I have ever seen. Can post that on my blog, if you'd like :)

  7. At first glance, I didn't like it. When I saw the final picture though, I thought it looked really cool. I can see why people stopped you to get a closer look!

  9. This do is fun and cute and little-girlish. And who needs it to be perfect during the summer? Just sayin'. ;)

I have tried to do "swirly" styles on Alex, but her hair is still so thin that they look funny. I think this one might actually work and I'm trying it right away! When I'm done, do you mind if I post it and link to you?

  11. I am the same as Jill...at first I thought it looked a bit strange, but I like the end result and I think it would be perfect for jetskiing or roller coasters: NO flyaways!
