You are going to have to tell me if you can tell a difference, but for me the rope braid leaves a less kinked second day wave. The whole look and feel to this one is just a more smooth looking wave. What do you think? Do you see a difference from yesterdays braid example? How do you describe the waves made up by this braid?
BTW--- this is just this braid with hair added too it. I will eventually shoot a video, but I am holding out for a better camera--- LOL. Sorry.
This one looks like it has a little bit more of a "z" shape wave, whereas yesterday's was more "s" shaped. Also the waves look smaller. Yes. I can totally tell a difference!

ReplyDeleteit is very similar, maybe if you had the after pics side by side we'd be able to compare better. to me it looks more like what you get with a curling iron or a crimper. But either way, it looks great!

ReplyDeleteIt's hard to tell a difference in the pictures... but after years of doing standard braids and French braids in my girls' hair, the first thing I noticed the day after my first 4-strand attempt was that the waves looked more wavy and less kinky. So I notice it at home, even if I can't tell in the pics so much :)

ReplyDeleteI like this one the best. It is closer to a wavy curl than the standard french braid left. It looks very pretty. And like someone else said, it looks intentional rather than just being left-overs. ;)
ReplyDeletethere is totally a difference in waves when u do diff braids. these 4 stranded braids leave my fav kind of wave, with the 2 strand rope braids in 2nd place! although the way i do a 4 stranded braid i cant figure out how to do it as a french braid
ReplyDeleteThe waves are smaller and more defined because the sections of the braid are smaller.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at all three braid/wave pics, I have to say that the reg. french braid looks like "leftovers" when taken down. The 4-strand braid looks like you actually have wavy/curly hair when taken down. The 5 strand braid leaves hair looking really kinky and "poofy" when taken down (don't like that one at all). You definitely can tell a visible difference.
