Fringe

So huge THANK YOU!!! With the suggestion of fringe bangs we googled and started looking at results that came up for "fringe bangs" and we came across Rihanna and Beans said, "YUP, That's the one!" She found what she was thinking of.

I have to point out that she is five... WHAT FIVE YEAR OLD EVEN THINKS LIKE HER? Its nuts! I can't help but laugh about her style. She is too funny.

I don't see us trying to make this hair style work for a five year old.

---What do you think?

  1. my first thought is, how do they stand those things in front of their eyes??? It would drive me nuts and make my vision all weird!

  2. My 3 yr old daughter has had a short pixie cut for 2 years. She looks absolutely adorable and when ever I ask a hairstylist to cut it into a pixie, they always think it is too grown up for a little girl, but she looks absolutely adorable and they end up agreeing it looks awesome. I think a 5 year old could carry this off, and remember, if the bangs are kinda long like that, they can pin them to the side with a barrette.

  3. I'm with the Burnhams - I think those would bug a kid with them in her eyes - but since you are totally opposite than me - I'm sure you could make it work & Beans would look cute. Just don't chop the rest of her hair please! LOL

  4. I have bangs like that, they aren't hard and like said above you can always barrett them to the side or even pull them back with bobby pins. Mine aren't as thick as Rihanna's so maybe that is why they don't bug me. It never hurts to try it out though... what is the worst that could happen? She decides to grow them back out?

  5. It personally bothers me when I see bangs in front of someone's eyes. I feel like they are trying to hide and avoid eye contact...plus I just want to walk up to them and move them out of their eyes so I can see their face. I think 5 years old is too young to choose a hairstyle like this, but then again, I just love little girls to have long hair (my personal thing).

  6. My 6 year old wanted the long side-swept bangs. Totally cute but they lasted all of one week before we found ourselves clipping them up out of her way every day. I say try it if she really wants it, it's just hair after all. But be prepared for it to be a short-lived thing.

  7. Totally off topic, but kinda ironic since I was just googling hair styles for my daughter and I for my SIL's upcoming wedding, but you won the Meet and Greet contest in my blog frog community. Go ahead and email me your address at 4theloveofffamily at gmail dot com and I'll get the cookbook sent off to you.

    Have a great day!

  8. I'd go with shorter side-swept bangs. My 2 yr old has them right now and I love it! I watched the hairstylist cut them so I can trim them as much as I want now.

  9. My daughter wanted these, but like everyone said, they are in the eyes all the time. Her teacher even told her to bring a clip to put in them during class! We just redid them but went short so it's all above the eyebrow, and we both love them. She's liking the new look and everyone's happy. Win-win.
