So I have a cute hair do all ready to appear tomorrow, but I wanted to start with the first half because it is a cute do on its own. We are doing two braids piggy tail style. Only difference we are going to give this a zig-zag part instead of a strait part.
So what you will want to do first is give the hair a mock part down the middle so you can base your zig-zag on something other than just a guess.

Start your first part at a zig-zag. And then you will need to parts out the hair that will be used for the other braid. Anchor it with a clip if you need to. This is a hard one to work with making those parts. That is why I broke this hair do into two parts. To give you the day to practice a braid with zig-zag parts.

That is really cute! My 4 year old has recently gone from asking for "one pony" to "two braids", so this will be perfect for a little more variety.
ReplyDeleteNow if I could just get her to let me put a flower/bow in the back of her head instead of some random place in the front so SHE can see it. LOL :)
oooh, I like this. I'll have to give it a try. :) My french braids are still a bit iffy, but it's worth a try anyway. ;)
ReplyDeleteOooh- Kathy I think you are going to dig tomorrows if you are trying to put little extra's in her hair. Tomorrows addition to this one might be just what works. I hope.
ReplyDeleteI love this! It does seem that it might be a bit tricky. I can't wait to try it though. I think it definatley looks way cuter than just a regular part down the middle.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I hope my clumsy fingers can make it work :-)
ReplyDeleteI totally love it. But next time I see you you're going to have to show me. You know how dense I can be & I'm not following the pic that shows you braiding. I'm sure, as always, I'm thinking it's harder than it really is!

ReplyDeleteI think a zig zag part is the only way to do french braid piggies, they are so cute.
ReplyDeleteMuch cuter than a straight part! Can't wait to see what you do with it tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! What a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteLoving this one! One a great way to spice up a basic do!

♥ Very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I did this today I put the zig zag part in there first, then stuck one side in a temp pony while I braided the other. I didn't need as many fingers that way and it looked the same when it was done. I can't wait to try what you posted today! Thanks!! :)
ReplyDeleteI do zig zag parts a lot but this is different! The zig is the third strand of hair. I usually zig zag the whole head and anchor one side and do what I want to that side then do the other. Your way looks awesome. ANd possibly above my skill level. I will have to practice. Cute!
ReplyDeleteZig-Zag!! All the way. You are so creative. I love looking at every post. I just wish I had a little girl to do them on:0
ReplyDeleteI am having a hard time figuring this out. It looks so beautiful and would love to try it on my little girl. Would you ever be willing to make a video for those like me who are needing to see it in action to get it? It really is pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks so much better! Trying now..
