Rag-a-Muffin

So yesterday I went into work at 3:30 in the afternoon. I worked until 11 that night got home about 11:20 and went to bed. I woke up and was back at work by 7:00 in the morning and I worked until 3:30 that day. So all-in-all I was away from home about 17 hours in a 24 hour period. Leaving the hubs in charge of EVERYTHING. Well I must say... My Hubs---DOESN'T DO HAIR!!! Ha ha--- This was the hair style she sports when Dad's in charge. Anyone else ever feel like Dad just doesn't try? I love my Rag-a muffin!
P.S. Yes she is wearing an over sized jersey from her uncles collection.

  2. ♥ Joe tries to put the girls hair up and does okay if it's just a pony tail. Once I was running late and asked him to just curl Emma's hair under when she was small... He burned her forhead and was mad that I asked him to do it when he didn't know how! :)

  3. My husband has tried pony tails, and I think I would prefer him just brush it out of their face versus his excellent pony tails.

  4. When I was in kindergarten and my mom was working graveyard I got in trouble for fixing my own hair. It took a while before my mom finally eased up on me, and the fact that my dad fessed up to spending quite a bit of time trying to get my hair to work. Needless to say, he never did my hair again!!

    When I was out of town once my husband had me put my girls hair in a braid before I left so that he had a couple days of good hair before he had to do anything!

    When I went out of town for a week in October, I sent my Princess to my mom's, just so her hair would get done every day!

  6. She looks beautiful with her hair out also!

    I generally work crazy shifts so I tend to do only hairstyles that last a few days. If I am going to be away for a few days, I spend the time of a Sunday night to do extra tight, tiny braids that stay in forever. The do has been known to last the entire school week before it gets fuzzy. The bonus, apart from the time saved, is that she gets to have 'curly' hair for the weekend!

  8. Maybe he saw the Today show segment yesterday where the style expert said "doing" your hair is out and the natural look is in! But that doesn't explain the jersey...

  9. Did he at least brush her hair? My husband will wash her face and brush her teeth but other than that it's chili for breakfast, cereal for dinner, and pajamas!!! We all know our children are beautiful no matter what, but we like them to look like someone has at least been taking care them!!!

  10. My daughter is turning 8 and thinks it's time for her to do her own hair. *weep for me* I still get to do it every once in a while but mostly, I just put on a brave smile at her efforts as she walks to school. (shudder)

  11. I have a similar picture when I was her age because my mom was out of town. :) Funny how you can tell Dad was in charge just by looking at the girl's hair. :) Cute picture!

  15. i feel your pain! half the time i get home from work and my daughter is still in her pj's! the house is always a mess with toys though, so i know they were having fun together and that's what really matters! unfortunately i am the one who gets to clean it up!

  16. my kids sport that look too. and even when my mother in law has them over. it's not a good look for us.

    i tried to train mine how to do a little side pony tail. but he couldn't get it smooth while putting in the rubber band, maybe i should make him practice.

  17. My husband still thinks that Maddie is to young to get her hair done! I tired getting him to put a head band on her at least but that didn't work either.

  18. My husband does okay. He can do a ponytail or fix at simple hairdo. I was in St. George for 3 days and came back to the same hairdo he just kept fixing! But he tried :) Her hair actually looks okay just framing her face as does your cutie.

  19. I think it's nice to have some days where you can just let it all go! Doing hair really isn't that easy if you've never done it before, so I'm not surprised more husbands aren't all ready and willing to try. Besides, if they're anything like my husband, plain and simple is better to him, so leaving it down and "letting it go" is beautiful to him! :)
